Sadhana Panchakam – SRI ADI SHANKARA STUTIS
Listen in depth, the Upanishadic declarations. Wash away the negative habit-energy and examine the defects of worldly excitement. Through the daily medicine of alms, treat the disease of hunger.
Daily take the medicine of Bhiksha-food. Experience and exhaust “Prarabdha” the fruits of past actions. Take shelter at a Perfect Master Sat-Guru.
Download the latest version here. Beg no delicious food. In hunger diseases get treated. Endure all the pairs of opposites: Live happily in solitude and focus the mind on the God. Seek the Self with consistent endeavour. Panfhakam the qualities such as self-restraint and give up all work prompted by selfish desire.
Conquer the effects of the deeds done in earlier lives by the present right action. Worship “Om” the Immutable. Live contentedly upon whatever comes to your lot as ordained by Him. In this way, remain established in the awareness of the Supreme Self. Quieten your mind in the Sadhanna Lord. Dedicate all those actions karmas as worship unto sanskfit Lord. Hold on to the awareness of the Atman and leave at once your own limited identity. Give up totally the tendency to argue with wise men. Renounce all desires in the mind. Reflect ever upon the meaning of the Upanishadic commandments, and take refuge in the Truth of Brahman. Escape from the bondage of’home’.
